Carelessness That Causes Renal Problems

Today is the era of globalization. Everything is running at the speed of light. There is competition and a race everywhere and this is affecting the daily life of humans very badly. People are so busy matching an uncertain standard that they are not even taking care of their bodies in the right manner. Their eating habits have turned unhealthy and cause major health issues. This unhealthy lifestyle affects your kidneys and leads to many renal problems and renal injury. In this blog we will be reading about various unhealthy habits of humans.

  • Eating junk- Junk food is readily available and no doubt tastes divine. No matter how hard you try not to eat it but the craving is irresistible. We all know the negative aspects of junk food but still cannot resist ourselves. When you consume an excess of junk food it puts you on the way to Acute kidney problem and other related kidney injuries. It causes high insulin production in the body and helps the sugar to get accumulated in the blood and it may lead to diabetic renal disorder. Eating junk also causes problems like obesity and diabetes. It increases the fat inside the body and causes the weakening of the organs.
  • Less sleep- for the best functioning of the body, a person should acquire sleep for 7 to 9 hours. Less sleep could damage your health and one such problem is related to your kidneys. According to a study, it is found that people who are not sleeping for at least 7 hours or getting less than 5 hours of sleep are likely to face rapid renal injury or other related kidney problems. It is a proven fact that sleep deficiency causes serious health issues like heart problems, diabetes, obesity, etc. It is also a major reason in humans for the shortening of life expectancy.
  • Alcohol consumption- We all are aware of the fact that alcohol is bad for our health. We see advertisements and billboards saying “Alcohol is injurious to health”, still, we are consuming alcohol like there is no tomorrow. Our kidneys are responsible for the cleansing of the harmful mixture from our blood and alcohol is one such substance that causes health issues. It hinders the kidney function and makes them less efficient for the filtration. It also imbalances the level of water in our body and causes kidney problems like renal failure and renal injury. The dehydration of the alcohol from the body affects many organs and cells. It also affects our blood pressure and we all know it very well how common and dangerous blood pressure is for kidneys. More than two drinks in a day are more than enough.
  • Smoking habits- Even the box of the cigarets says “ Smoking kills” but we recklessly live our life with a feeling that “rules are made to be broken”. There are certain rules in life that we should follow for the protection of our body. When we smoke one cigarette it affects our body in numerous ways. It increases our heart rate and blood pressure. It results in the excess production of a hormone angiotensin II in the kidneys. It hardens the renal arteries and reduces the flow of the blood in kidneys. Other than this mentioned reason, alcohol causes many other renal problems and renal injuries that sometimes may lead to renal failure. Many methods help people in quitting smoking. As far as the renal failure is concerned there is Acute kidney failure treatment in Ayurveda that works way better than the modern methods and heals disease naturally.
  • Excess use of painkillers- In this running world pain and pain killers are very common. Isn’t it? We are always busy enough to sit and endure the pain. With painkillers, the race doesn’t stop. But ever wondered how these painkillers are going to affect your body. No doubt, painkillers provide relief when we are in pain but the balance is very important. Painkillers affect our kidneys and cause fluid retention in the body. Some over the counter medicines can damage our kidneys if we do not put a stop on its consumption. If you are a patient of low blood pressure or your body is not hydrated enough and you are consuming such painkillers it may lead to acute kidney disease. Also, the acute kidney disease treatment in Ayurveda suggests that there are herbs in Ayurveda that helps to improve the fluid balance in cells and re-energizes our body.
  • Consuming less water- You must have heard many times that it is necessary to keep our body hydrated. Otherwise, it will be as tough as life in a desert. Water is very helpful in the removal of waste from our body and its deficiency will prohibit the waste to come out of the body and cause many health issues. It also helps the nutrients to travel freely through our blood vessels by keeping the vessels open.
  • High sugar consumption- Here, we are not saying that sugar is bad for health but an excess of sugar can become a major problem. Excess consumption of sugar may lead to an increase in the blood sugar level. The problem becomes serious when the sugar level reaches 180 mg/dL because at this point the kidneys start releasing sugar into the urine.
Discussed above are some factors that lead to Acute kidney failure and other related Kidney issues. So, it is better to maintain a distance from all these bad habits and make way towards the righteous path to prevent your body from any kind of problem.
